The Business Centre in Corby is made of offices and garages rented out by the building owner. As the electricity for the businesses is included in the rent, the owner decided to utilize solar PV. By adding solar panels, the owner could provide the building with his own electric, thus saving on the bills and make an extra margin from the people who rent off him.
This industrial type system was 100kW and produced a third of the energy for the building. Due to the unusual roofs on the building, meticulous designs were made to make sure everything went to plan.
